Here at TuneRS, we offer upgraded lower control arms for Porsche models 1997 – 2017 (see fitment below). You have the option of sending in your lower control arms to us for them to have the Powerflex polyurethane bushings installed or purchasing a new control arm with the bushings already installed. Once we receive your arms we will do a thorough inspection to determine if they are in good condition to continue to be used. The control arms then have the original rubber bushings removed and are stripped and cleaned of any debris and contaminants leaving the surface of the control arm like new.
The polyurethane bushings used on our lower control arm upgrades are the Powerflex Race black series. We do sell these bushing kits separate if you plan to do the installation yourself. Please note, if you plan to order the bushings for a DIY installation we highly recommend a professional facility to perform the installation.

Why go Polyurethane?
Suspension bushings are one of the most highly stressed components fitted to a motor car. They undergo enormous strains in the most arduous of conditions with no maintenance or lubrication.
The material standard bushings are manufactured from is a rubber compound containing natural products which deteriorate with age. It becomes softer and more pliable, resisting the forces placed on it less and less. Therefore allowing more and more movement of suspension components and offering less and less control over the suspension geometry.
This causes excessive tire wear, braking instability and poor handling. This is the single biggest reason you can instantly tell the difference driving a three year old car and a new one. However even new cars will benefit from Powerflex bushings! Because of their superior design they offer much more effective control of the suspension components to a much greater extent than normal rubber items.
With the technological advances in this material it has been possible to overcome the common problem associated with harder bushings, which is increased noise. By correctly engineering the polyurethane compound, bushings can be made 25-30% stiffer than new rubber items but with exactly the same noise absorbing properties.
Why choose our Lower Control Arms Upgrade?
These are a direct fit replacement with no modifications needed. Solid control arms are much more reliable than the split style GT3 adjustable arms that have been known to fail over time. The stress placed on a split style control arm weaks it over time leading to a possible failure which can result in catastrophe. The split style GT3 arms are also recommended to be replaced more often than others especially if tracked. When choosing our LCA upgrade with the eccentric options on camber and caster, these LCA’s will allow for a much greater range of alignment capabilities over stock control arms. You will not need to order or use shims like in the GT3 style arms either. A set of GT3 control arms can cost well over $900 plus cost of shims, and still retain the factory rubber style bushing. The bushings we use from Powerflex are also warranted for life by Powerflex.
Option 1: You can remove and send in your control arm for us to install the Powerflex bushing upgrade. Once we complete this, we will ship back your same arms to you.
Option 2: You can purchase a set of control arms already equipped with the Powerflex bushing upgrade. A $200 core charge applies per control arm and once we receive back yours we will refund the core charge.
Important Note: If you plan to send us in your control arms to have the bushing upgrade installed, please make sure to send them complete & not damaged. If any control arm received is damaged, bent or cannot be used for installation we will contact you before proceeding. This also applies to CORE items. Once completed, the control arms will be shipped back via GROUND shipping unless otherwise noted on the order. If you wish to receive them back faster than ground shipping, you will be quoted return shipping method of your choice.
Core items must be shipped back within 15 days of date of delivery of new items. No core refund will be applied if we do not receive them back within the designated time period.
New Control Arm Option has 2 year warranty! Powerflex offers a lifetime warranty on the bushings. We offer 2 years on the control arm ball joint.
